It all depends what is wrong with your a/c of course.

A couple of weeks ago, my a/c stopped working. I asked my poker buddies if they knew of a good reliable repairman.

I was given the name of Village Heating & A/C in Lady Lake. They are not affiliated with The Villages. Phone number is 352-750-1434.


I called at 9:30 am and the tech was at the house within the hour. I was actually expecting him to say I needed a whole new unit. Instead, he took a quick look, told me I had a blown out capacitor, installed a new one, and 10 minutes later I was getting cool again. Total cost was $165. Much better than the thousands a new unit would cost.

I felt this guy was very honest and would recommend the company.
