I personally like the bagels at Panera. I always toast them and like them with butter on them.

I have heard that a bagel perfectionist will never toast a bagel. Is that true and, if so, why?
I love a toasted bagel. If I buy a bunch I toast them as they start to get a little stale. The butter just melts into that hot bagel and................wait, even better, peanut butter. Melted peanut butter on the top of a bagel; maybe some bacon crumbles on that.....mmmmmm!!
