Yes, they build a pretty good home here and have it down to a science. However, that does not mean it's perfect. Don't be so drunk on your favorite Villages beverage that you don't carefully inspect your new construction home immediately upon closing and move-in.
We also had to have all three panes of our triple slider replaced because of numerous scratches. One pane continued to be replaced two more times because the new ones had defects. Think fingerprints in-between the two panes which cannot be cleaned.
My husband was going to install additional shelving in our master closet. When he put the level on the closet wall, the level rocked back and forth. Some of the studs in that area were warped and had to be replaced through the outside by tearing off the siding and vapor barrier.
We had a lot of other small issues dealing with nicks & chips & dings & poor workmanship. They were all addressed and corrected. I'm just saying to carefully look at everything and make sure you're getting the best product for the money you're paying.
