One of the wonderful things about living in this country is the fact that you don't have to believe as everyone else believes. Even in matters of faith. You can resort to childish name calling when our politicians give our Creator praise or acknowledge His hand in the guidance of our country.
I will be the first to defend your right to say these things, even if I don't agree, so long as you don't try to force your beliefs down the throats of others without going through the rule of law. I will also be the first to point out your hypocrisy.
Do you think President Obama is, in your words, a "dummy" for his words in his Presidential Proclamation--Thanksgiving Day November 23, 2010? In it, he offers thanks to God for the many blessing He has bestowed upon this great country from its inception until today, and asks that God continue to bless our nation.
Obama said, in part, "In confronting the challenges of our day, we must draw strength from the resolve of previous generations who faced their own struggles and take comfort in knowing a brighter day has always dawned on our great land. As we stand at the close of one year and look to the promise of the next, we lift up our hearts in gratitude to God for our many blessings, for one another, and for our Nation."
Now, using the same litmus test you use on Bachman and Perry, is Obama a dummy?
