In the last few days, I have had a very interesting exchange of information on ignore list or just ignore. First of all, the ignore list truly works and it brought my blood pressure down about 30 pts. After I closed out my political group connection, I have received PM from several posters with a combination of several thousand posts. I thank them for their support and would like to share some of their very good advice. It has opened my eyes wide and I rejoined Political a few minutes ago to post this thread.
Because I was asked directly by two of them for a clear reason, I told them of my feeling about two individuals on the board and was surprised by the responses:
- One of them has been harrassing people on here for years
- Biggest jerk on the board
- My favorite: You provided more positive input on your last two threads than that jerk has in the last year.
I do enjoy the political board and they have convinced me not be driven away by the playground bully mentality. I do not have the ability to spar with that type poster, so will simply not allow myself to be drawn into the silliness. I just wanted to explain my return. I hope other frustrated folks can receive comfort from knowing they are not alone.
Synopsis: I am back, I will not buy into the hate and personal attacks, I will give my honest opinions without sarcasm. Hold me too this everyone.
