Mcpain would have lost by a lot more if palin hadne't been on the ticket. i had to hold my nose to vote for him, but palin on the ticket helped. my brother absolutely refused to vote for mcpain, but when sarah came on board he relented. The media did a number on her big time. the media sent all those reporters to alaska to find dirt on her. They didn't worry one bit about obama's qualifications. Don't forget, before the so called economic crisis hit, mcpain was ahead in the polls.
