Default Coralway, I'm a fairly newbie here in the Villages, and

I too wanted some isolation. I do a lot of writing and I wanted to be sure I
could have that 'quiet' space, and I have dogs and I wanted them to have their space. I bought a 3 bedroom 2 bath cyv (preowned) in Duval and
am thrilled with my privacy (yes, I guess some could call it isolation). It is fairly large, but feels even larger with vaulted ceilings. Loads of space and
storage, and no fees for lawn maintenance to speak of. Look at the Bonita
model for the 3/2...

I have a private back and side yard and unless I go outside to garden in the front,I wouldn't know I have neighbors. And even at that, the neighbors each seem to respect their sense of privacy and mine. But lovely if I need to borrow something or a neighbor needs something of mine (rare). It was a super choice for me and I am happy. The cvy is large, spacious, comfortable and has what you might want to consider. The yards can be cement and lawn area, or, cement and hardscape, and fenced save the front entry. I have magnificent plants and trees in my back yardso the house feels very private. Even the lanai in the back...backs up to my yard and a cement wall. I hear nothing but the birds if you know what I mean.

Don't think you could really live in the Villages without a car. To get to places like Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, etc., it is easier for me to take the car...food shopping as well. And, should it rain (as in thunder storm), you could get caught for awhile in a remote location with frozen food defrosting! However, if you lived close to say Lake Sumter Landing, you could do doctors and food shopping with a golf cart. There are taxi services here also...so, maybe you could try without a car first and see how you do, or rent a car for a month until you get nested here.

Good luck with your search, it is a lovely place to live. Very peaceful. Most importantly, when I seek not so much isolation I can find it easily and happily.
