Isolation does seem to contradict The Villages Life Style!
That said, you do not need to be hooked to your neighbors day in and day out! It is important, I think, that you and your neighbors interact on a regular basis. But, you don't necessarly need to be 'permanently' attached!
As a single, I decided initially on a Designer home, without the implied restrictions of a courtyard villa neighborhood. In some respects, the villa style may very well suit your lifestyle, but it really is something that should be investigated!
