I bought a resale home with a walk-in tub. It cost the previous owners $14,000 to have the tub installed so I kept it. You walk in the tub and close the door and sit down. It fills very quickly. I think it takes about the same amount of water as a small tub. Mine has a bubble button, which is relaxing. It drains very quickly.

You could open the door before the tub drains if you want your bathroom washed.
