We didn't spend enough or was appropriated without stipulations. For example Perry and the Texas legislature used the funds that he didn't want to pay off the state debt. Wasn't he the one hemming and hawing about not taking the money, then changed his mind?

Business needs to invest in America. Middle class spending is the catalyst to growth. Growth is limited when folks live from paycheck to paycheck. If your children have a job ask them when they last had a raise. Wages are stagnant. Some things need to be done on a federal level like building dams, repairing infrastructure, national security, etc..

I think if you look back at my post I pointed to a couple of problems with his speech that included what he "didn't say". Those are some of my suggested solutions that you claim were not presented.

Private business needs to be unleashed. The Free Market needs relief from onerous regulations. That will get the engine running again,
