Nobody mentioned Obama in this thread, but since you can't read anything on this forum without thinking about and entwining it about Obama, I'll do you a favor and give you something to think about.

Bill Clinton was able, no matter what he was saying, to make you believe that he meant what he was saying and was emotionally invested in it. He gave you the feeling that he was in this with you, and you would both pull out of it together if you just gave him the chance.

Now, he was a master conniver, but he has that gift and that's why so many are under his spell to this day.

Obama is a cold fish when it comes to speaking. He doesn't seem or act like he's one of us, but speaks as if he's above us. In contrast to Clinton, Obama gives you the impression that he knows better than anyone else and you should just listen to him and do as he says, because he can't be bothered to explain all the details to us. He's much to busy and cerebral.

It doesn't play as well.
