Glad I asked and thanks for all the input. Porcelain sure has a bad rep. I wonder how they ever sell them or if there is new, improved technology.

We had bad experience with stainless kitchen sink in pre-owned house in the Villages. It never looked good as it had some rust marks and scratches and it's never looked good even after major cleanup efforts. Maybe it was a cheap sink with poor care, but it created a bad opinion.

For those with granite sink be careful with strong chemicals like Draino.
