I bought one of ours directly from Panasonic (AARP members can join a Panasonic club for lower prices) and I bought the bedroom TV online from a company called East Coast TV out of Linden , NJ. At that time last year, the same Samsung 8000 LED was more than $1000 more at Best Buy. It might be worth checking them out. Depending what they have in stock, you may save some serious $$$. When I bought, the policy was, it was delivered to or in your home, taken out of the box and plugged in to verify that it wasn't damaged, then you payed. They accepted check, cash and credit card, and if paying by cash, they gave you an extra 2% off. LG is an excellent brand, but also check out Samsung LED's, and Panasonic plasma's are top of the line.(heavier than LED, but the picture quality and price are superb). You can't go wrong with any of those brands, but try to audition all of them before buying, they all have distinct qualities.
