Last year I started to buy my plasma from Amazon.com but decided at the last minute to look and touch the model at Best Buy first. Turned out they had a sale plus a free gift card on the model I wanted. Saved me over $250. Generally, Amazon has the best prices but once in a while local stores have good sales.
At the time, the leading consumer magazine rated Samsung LCDs and Panasonic plasmas as the best buys. We went with the Panasonic.
