I am a democrat, and I vote based on issues and conditions as I perceive them. What I'm hearing about education from you folks is that you want "private enterprise" to take over schools? I don't understand how this would work, I mean would each parent pay to have their kids schooled, would the rich get a better education based on ability to pay as there would no longer be public schools, or would we contract out the teaching and management of school systems where corporate greed would play?.. I don't see a panacea from any of these...I do believe in pay per performance and that would help clean up schools a lot..As a matter of fact Obama actually put that in place by tying improvement to some federal monies and Pennsylvania lost a lot because the teachers there refused to allow it...Two years ago, Florida wass ranked 49th in the nation in dollars spent per student and their quality of output was in the bottom 10 states.That was reported on schooldigger.com a database, with all types of good info about each school in the entire nation..Don't ask how I know that but it's a long sad story..
