As we all know, all politicians have speechwriters who are able to take the Congressman's ideas and talking points and make them sound like "off the cuff" remarks and to sound brilliant. It is when the politician is in an interview and the topic goes somewhere that is not included in the script - such when Sarah Palin was asked which US Supreme Court decisions she did not agree with besides Roe v Wade or which newspapers she read on a regular basis - that is the time when the politician gets the stunned look of a cow just hit by a hammer before slaughter.

If Rubio can learn to compromise with other Senators, he could be a very good leader some day. Give him some time.
There are 2 Houses of Congress. I was taught this as a child. In case you weren't, I'm posting a pdf from Scholastic News for kids.

You can apologize to me later.

Also if you want to see the cajones and brilliance of Marco Rubio "without speechwriters", watch him make Dem. Sen. John "F" Kerry look small in this video on "the Senate Floor" when he yields the floor to a question (almost unheard of by an Senator who has the floor as they don't want to risk getting caught with their pants down). He thinks on his feet and he doesn't stutter. Don't underestimate this guy.
