jrheydt - we also own a disney timeshare and it is invaluable to us - despite our snowbirding in the villages! when we cannot use the points, there is always a niece or nephew and family waiting for the chance to use them! it also affords us the oppty to use the hilton head resort as our stop-over between nj/fl. and there are times when we want to go shopping in orlando - so we book a nite or two at a vacation club resort and use it as home base for those shopping forays!

if it ever came to the point where we/family could not use the points, we would just put them up for rent so that some other family could enjoy a great vacation! the points can be rented to cover the cost of the annual maintenance fees!
