From having white walls and white volume ceilings we selected a light blue called Aqua Breeze and all of the details really pop, many surfaces you didn't even notice before.
The other items mentioned were next on the list, attic steps in the garage and plywood flooring. Also we had all of the shelving in the master closet raised and another row of shelving placed directly below. For $150 including materials we doubled the size of our closet in two hours time. We choose Tim 'The Toolman' Miller who also was highly recommended by many on this site. He did many other small jobs around our place.
