Can't help you with the Guinness as I've never been a fan. I like darker beers, but I never have developed a taste for Guinness. Bass Ale is about as bitter as I'll go.

But LaryB's suggestion of St. Andrew's Pub sounds like the place with all their British fare to be the place to get a correctly poured pint of Guinness.
