I heard they offer DNA Testing at Petco, I think it cost around $125. I was going to have it done on a rescue dog, just out of curiosity. Then a friend told they'd had their dashound/mutt tested, and the testing showed it was mostly rotweiller. I'm not sure how accurate the tests are.
