Had several years of pf problems, tried orthodics made by podiatrist, wearing surgical boot, finally was diagnosed with ruptured tendon and had a "tendon transfer". Surgery involved going up into the leg and "transferring" a tendon to the place needed. Three incisions, long recovery, but worth it. Now I can shop nearly the entire day without having to rest my old feet.
