Anyone who has a CCW and would like a little training of shooting under stress, contact me and I can help you out. There is an organization IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Assoc.
http://www.idpa.com) that has shoots here in the area that puts you under stress as a game. But it is good training for moving and shooting and the stress is from shooting on the clock.
Everyone should be required to requalify at least once a year, but that will never happen.
Why you ask? When I put my name on the line of requalifying you with stress training if you should shot someone it makes me liabel as the trainer for your action. Ain't never gonna get my signature on that piece of paper, unless the law is changed so that I occur no liability for your actions. For when I was training police officers the state had the liability for their actions, as I instructed from a state POST (police officers standard training) manuel. Not something that I wrote or required.
So as I have said before, CCW holders are NOT defacto police officers. Unless your life or someone else's life is in eminent danger, they are being stabbed, strangled, beaten with something that will cause bodily harm or maim, use the best weapon that the vast majority of us carry, your cell phone, call 911, then have someone else start taking pictures of what is happening. Yell at the prepatrator let them know that the police are on their way and that you are taking pictures.
This picture sums up a lot of questions for lots of people.
