As a former salon owner
I'm going to stick my two cents in... and try to be concise.
"Volume" in hair care lingo is a nebulous word. Reasons for 'lack of volume' are many. (I could bore you to death with a very LONG list)
There are many factors in the way people personally care for their hair, that no product can circumvent.
I researched WEN products when they first appeared. (I made a continual effort to be current in my knowledge, for my clients as well as myself.)
The ingredients are gentle (for most people) and this line was one that eliminated sodium laurel sufate from their shampoo formula. (a good thing to do, in my opinion)
Since then, other companies are beginning to eliminate this as well and are starting to advertise this in their marketing.
I think WEN is a very decent product. (as long as they stay with the original formula) I'm not excited about the way it is sold.... or the price.
It will clean your hair and scalp without disturbing the PH of the acid mantle of your skin.
If you want 'volume', we would have to investigate lots of factors unique to each individual, their haircut and their hair care regime in total. A good stylist/beautician/barber would certainly do this before recommending any product at all. Otherwise, it's a waste of intention.
I'm retired now, but if you have a question I might help with, please feel free to PM me.
