Boy, picking strawberries!! That brings back memories.
I got so sick the first day I picked it took me years before I would eat them. Love them now.
I picked peas, strawberries, worked and lumbermills and stacked hay for next to nothing per hour and was glad to get it.
The problem with no illegals or even migrant workers is we need them. It would be years before our children's children could be taught the hard work for nothing ethic.
I live in Texas and they are everywhere. If we don't have them or young people willing to work like they do then we need to know that everything we grow goes up in price.
With illegals it is hard for the unions to organize them so they work for less than our young would ever work for.
I know not all young are that way but most are, probably our fault because of the way our generation lived and taught them.
