Here in the Mid-Hudson Valley it is snowing. Depending on who you listen to we will get as little as 3 inches or as high as 10 inches.
Looking out from our windows it looks like a winter wonderland. The wood fire is keeping us nice and warm and comfy.
Snow here in rural America stays white usually until it melts.
For hunters, bow and arrow, it makes tracking the deer easier as they can see the tracks in the snow. We know many people here who hunt to supplement their food budget.
