It was a passing thought I had that kind of made me laugh a bit. So, yeah, there's was a lot of tongue-in-cheek jest there. No chance of that stuff happening anytime soon. Even when it was "cheap imports from Japan", it took a long time for Japanese wages to rise - the same with South Korea 10-15 years later.
