GE is not alone in manufacturing junk. I had a hotpoint over the range microwave that lasted 3 years. Took it out and installed a highly rated Maytag and it lasted 2 years before going out last week. I called a friend who sells appliances and asked him what to do...he said look for a fuse, which could be the problem. If that doesn't do it you may as well buy a new one, they are not worth trying to fix! What really burns me is I just gave away a perfectly good counter microwave two weeks ago.
