Thanks Penn BF, I'm too new to get a handle on all of this, but
one would think the agreement between Moffit and The Villages would be available to read somewhere. If, indeed, there is only one radiation oncologist
who will be stationed here...and some equipment for her or him to use...in no
way would I consider that an institutional or organizational plan serving Villa gers. I was surprised to read the statemnent of advertising in the POA
Bulletin, but at the same time it mad me rethink the 'alliance'. To me an
alliance means much dolllars, many personnel, and the intent to serve
a city of more than 80,000. Again, I am too new to be able to put all the pieces together, and I'm not sure money on the part of the oncologists who
placed the "ad" is an ulterior motive. Possibly, it is true. If this is the case, it is, to me, really shameful, a sham almost. It feels like, feels like the
Developers have possibly not thought out the overall health issues here.
I do see a little USF building in LSL, but that alone also doesn't tell me there
is an alliance. It is a big presence I was looking for when I moved here in July and saw all the Moffit signage and 'advertising'. Being genetically predisposed to melanoma, it makes me wonder if my choice made last spring was on a balance equation if you know what I mean. Guess the wait and see is the best option, however, Moffit has had some signage and advertising presence here since I began my home search. If, if it ends up to be true that a satellite type radiation oncologist is all that is included, well, it might, or could be construed as false advertising. I will wait patiently to see what
occurs. Thank you so much for your insight, everything here is relatively new and I am learning through the dialogue.
