The story in
The Daily Sun said the husband called the police himself and "told police he had a large knife and wanted to be shot by officers, the affidavit stated.
"After Lady Lake officers and a Lake County sheriff's county deputy arrived a the home, they found (the man) in the home near the back door, the affidavit said. Police said he then grabbed a knife, leading the deputy to use a stun gun on him according to the affidavit.
"His wife, who was found inside the home, told police her husband had strangled her to the point where she lost consciousness and he had threatened to kill her as he choked her, the affidavit said."
The story goes on to say he "could face charges of attempted felony murder, felony battery by strangulation and violation of probation." Bond was set at $2 million.
