People who say they haven't been paid for their stories often get other forms of compensation. It's very disingenuous.

The media may fly them into L.A. or N.Y., put them up in 5 star hotels with all the trimmings, get them a "book deal" with a sizable advance, etc, etc.

But, they're not being paid for their story? B.S.
