We have electric carts - don't like to leave them plugged in while we are gone because of potential lightning strikes. We leave ours fully charged and unplugged and in "tow" mode.
Golf cart tech told us probably best to ask friendly neighbors rather than caretakers to check the water levels and drive it around the block monthly, charge overnight and unplug the next morning and leave in tow until the next month. He said once a month would be fine. He thinks caretakers tend to want to get everything done in 1 visit per week, and this is a 2-day job, but just once a month.
He said nothing about putting it up to save tires - I would think driving it monthly would solve that issue.
