Wynneshanks, This might not be the issue but here it goes. The last two I programmed requies you to hold down the button being programmed and one other button to erase the first program. Then once the led starts flashing it is ready for the new program to be stored. You hold the garage door opener within 3 inches facing the device while pushing the button until the led goes off. Then the new code is stored and it should work. Now this procedure could be a little different depending on the brand of the car. Worse case go back to the dealership where the car was bought and ask the salesman to show you how. He or she should be willing to help. Hope this helps.
