Lifestyle Preview Report
I am a recently-single woman who plans to retire soon and move to TV. I highly recommend doing the LPV for anyone considering making this their home. I arrived on a Tuesday morning and was taken to my 3-bedroom villa in the Creekside cabanas, which is a stone's throw from all the goings on at Lake Sumter Square. The decor was definitely of sample home quality and had every amenity you would need including a hair dryer. Additionally there was a gas golf cart and two bikes with helmets.
The cost at this time of year was $125 nightly and I stayed for 5 nights. I think you can stay up to 14 nights on the LPV. My real estate lady who I had met when I visited friends in July was Sandy McIntyre and when I called her to remind her I was in town, she said "you know we looked at houses in July so what I want you to do this time is to soak up the lifestyle, have fun and if you want me to take you to see homes, I will but the most important thing I want you to do is have a fabulous time". Can you imagine a real estate person being so focused on you having fun and not on pushing you to buy. Of course, she is amazing and so is TV.
On the first day I got on the golf cart and was determined to cram everything possible into 5 days. I had never driven a golf cart but determination won out and after suffering a few whiplashes trying to accelerate, I got it down. The next day I looked at the bike and figuring you always hear "it's like riding a bike you just get back on" I figured why not. They are right...after 40 years I just got on, donned the helmet and took off down the street. I didn't want to go anywhere, but just proved to myself that I could do it. Another thing I did for the first time was go into a restaurant by myself. With the coupons they gave me for the LPV, I saddled up to one of the outside bars at the square and ordered a hamburger and a Bloody Mary. I didn't know until they brought me my 2nd drink that it was a 2 for 1 special. Here I am sitting at a bar at noon drinking. On both occasions the people at the bar started talking with me and before you knew it, I had met some really nice people.
I managed to golf one day using my LPV free coupon. Another day I checked the recreation news and went to a line dance lesson where there seemed to be over a 100+ men and women in this huge room dancing in unison, then I went to another venue and watched about 25 cloggers. I found it amazing they they could remember all the steps. I went to the Irish/American club one night and listened to a duo sing and play instruments. I met up with Chachacha who is a lovely woman who enjoys dancing and she brought along two gentlemen who like to dance, so we went out to dinner and dancing at one of the country clubs.
I know I'm being too wordy but I want everyone to know that TV is the friendliest, happiest and fun-loving place on earth. I had the best vacation I ever had and most of all I found that I can do it on my own and feel perfectly comfortable. Thank you to all the nice people who made my brief time there so memorable.
