Default I think he should have been able to live longer

He was in great condition. So, why did he have to die? I know, he had pneumonia. But from what I understand, he was exercising right up until the day he died. That's what his wife said to a reporter and I read it in the Daily Sun (I don't have television).

I had double pneumonia when I was in the army and was hospitalized. I received strict instructions from the doctor NOT to exercise. I was to get up early and get dressed every day (no napping). I could read, watch TV or talk to others who had the same condition. And we were told to drink plenty of water.

Would Jack Lalanne still be alive today if he had rested instead of working out? Did he not get the proper instructions from his doctor or was he disobeying the instructions?
