I think that was Collie's point as well. Yes, you do increase your carbon footprint by using any cart (gas or electric). Now you can debate which is worse, the coal used to create the electricity or the gas used to burn directly in the cart. But it's not like 100% for one and 0% for the other.
But the original question was Yamaha vs. Club Car. People I trust very much on this site, who have worked in the field, recommend Yamaha. So that will be my choice assuming I can find a good deal. Otherwise I'll go with whatever.
