You haven't kept up on things - and that's not an insult - it's not like some of this information is easy to find. The EMR mandate is a cluster. Even the government can't get it's act together on it. You'd think that, at the very least, the database schema (the format for all these records) would be finalized so that everyone would know what they were supposed to be working towards? Well, apparently not. I see openings at HHS for people to continue the design and implementation of the system. From my 35 years in the IT industry, my impression is that this project is a camel - you know, a horse designed by government committee.

The latest whispers I'm hearing is that deadlines are going to be extended quite a bit.
