I pay $30 per month with Verizon for an unlimited data package (like many others we are grandfathered, the unlimited is no longer available). I also know I can turn on the hotspot feature on my iPhone to run my lap top and desk top. That would be $50 in total with Verizon, so why not cancel Comcast high speed internet?
Has anybody else done anything similar?

Billie, don't know if you are aware that there are different levels of high speed internet thru Comcast. When we originally got our 'hi-speed lite' a few years ago it was about $20 a month. Not sure if it has went up any since that time, but we run 2 computers (at least), our Magicjack phone, my iphone, etc. and it all works great! Fast enough for us for the $!!!
At least that's another option to consider.
