For those that have been in the Villages for more than a year may know the name Dr Ben Spivey! I thought he lost his license to practice a year or so ago and should not be in a dental office! Well recently I as well as others I know have seen him in a dental office! And guess which one? The one he "used" to own! He was last working at the Colony Plaza office which is now called Colony Modern Dentistry and apparently sold it to a friend of his once his license was taken away. I saw him there just the other day with almost if not the whole staff around him! Now why would that be if he is not supposed to be practicing or if he really sold the office?
I can only assume one thing and that is he either really didn't sell it or he is still heavily involved! Either way he is bad news! His mother can even still be seen there occassionally from what others have told me! Again, why would she still be there if her son sold the office? You don't think that she would be giving him information?
I have tried other dental offices and have encountered old employees of mr spiveys and heard their horror stories of working for him! I have been told he is still involved but never wanted to say anything because I never witnessed it myself. Now that I have I need to warn everyone around me! I would stay away from Colony Modern Dentistry!
I remember before he opened that office he also owned another office in the Villages in the Spanish Springs Plaza. Since the same person "bought" that office as well I can only assume spivey is still involved with that office also! It is right next to the Publix and golf cart store in Spanish Springs so again be careful! I'm not sure what it is called now as the old office had spiveys name in the title so they had to change it for obvious reasons!
I think mr spivey has made a bad name for all of the other dentist in the area because now it is tough to decide who to trust!
