You might consider coming down and renting for a couple (or more) months to get a feel for what it's like to "live" here. Then scope out as you become familiar...with where you might like to settle. There are ALOT of folks who are "snowflakes"---they come down in the fall sometime and leave in April or May for their "up north" home. That might be a fit for you and your wife. There most certainly are emotions involved with change and a move. We've ALL been through that. Once you settle in TV and find your niche you may actually decide to make this your permanent home.
