Dennis, I believe you're right - State Farm will continue to carry H.O. insurance policies for clients who have an existing H.O. policy in FL...........but the rate they're going to charge will skyrocket, as you found. Otherwise, you're out of luck - no brand new policies will be written. Doesn't matter how long you've had State Farm coverage elsewhere and/or on other things.
At least that's the story I got from both a State Farm agent in FL and our agent that we've been with for years here in OH. Thus we had to get our H.O. coverage elsewhere.
