I used to live on the east side of 441 and I had a 15 year old Mitsubishi TV. It was a good quality set and I got (sometimes) one or two stations with rabbit ears. Then I bought a new house south of 466 and had to decide if I wanted to go to the trouble of moving it. I decided that it wouldn't be worth it. It was old and I might not get good reception. I think the one good station was out of Gainsville and I would be further away. So I left it with the house along with the DVD player.
That was in 2005. After moving, I decided I would be better off without a TV because I didn't want to become a hypnotized couch potato.
By the way, I agree about Jack being a wonderful role model. I don't know if anyone here is aware of this, but he was interviewed on the radio (in central FL) by the "Growing Bolder" program. It's a program for older people who have achieved great things. I'm not sure what year it was but it doesn't seem that long ago. One thing he said that I thought was funny: "Exercise is king and diet is queen."
