eweissenbach: Term limits? Absolutely. Maybe 3 4-year terms for the House and 2 6-year terms for the Senate.

Saratogaman: Love the idea of the Saturday vote. But your opinion of "suppressing the vote" flies in the face of the supposed "we want illegal aliens to vote for us" mantra on the right.

billthekid: Complete agreement with a balanced budget ammendment with SOME allowances for things like wars and severe economic troubles (and directives to immediately pay off new debt when revenues or expenditure situations are back to normal)

notlongnow: A ban on attachments? I think I like that idea. But it might make GOOD omnibus bills very difficult to pass. I think I'd be more in favor of the Line-Item Veto. Apparently the Supreme Court thinks it's unconstitutional so we'd have to pass an Ammendment for that.

ilovetv: I disagree. Allow the babies to be citizens. But the parents have a choice. They can leave the kid here and have someone adopt it or they can take the child back with them to their home country. This is what some forward-thinking nouveau-riche Chinese are doing. I was reading articles about an underground industry of 'birthing homes' in California that cater to wealthy Chinese women. They have the baby, return to China and plan to come back to the US when the kid is 18.
