Some options:

- If you have double hung windows and have magnetic contact switches protecting them, you can place the another "half" of the switch how ever much higher you'd like to have the window open - raise the window to the point that the "half" on the window aligns with it and you're good to go! But it does make it awfully easy for someone to get in given that the windows aren't latched.

- Eliminate contacts on the doors and windows and use motion sensors that are confined to areas that will just cover the windows and doors. This would be kinda tricky to execute - it would depend on the sensitivity of the sensors, the location of the doors/windows and motion sensors, and the proximity of any normal in-house activity when the system is armed.
