Keep your window rolled up and merely hold your gate card right up to the driver's window as you approach the "sensor" and guest what? The gate will open without your having to roll the window down. Works for me. Don't know why everyone doesn't do the same. Merely an observation on my part.

Consider yourself lucky if your gate card is that sensitive. More often than not you have to hold the card outside the window close to the gate sensor.
