Default Snow Free Winters in TV

Although I have lived my entire life so far in the Midwest, I am not a fan of winter weather/snow/ice/cold temps. If I am lucky enough to move to TV in the future, I am sure I would not miss the Midwest winters. For those of you who relocated to TV from the Snow Belt, did the first snow/ice free winter seem kind of strange to you? Not strange in a bad way, but just different.

Since the Chicago area has had blessedly so little snow so far this winter, it has seemed kind of strange -- but strange in a good way -- l'm not complaining.

Just wondering how people in TV, especially for those who are spending their first winter in TV, have any thoughts on this.
