When a woman experiences a needle biopsy of the breast or an aspiration of a fluid filled sac in the breast, the needle must penetrate to the area and will sometimes rupture small blood vessels. This will leave bruising and sometimes a "picking type" pain for some time afterward. It has happened to me.
I am not sure a mistake was made because I only have my own experience to go by. Mine was done in Cincinnati, Ohio.
If you are worried about the pain, you should ask your doctor.
I am sorry you had a bad experience.
You can go to Tampa to the Moffitt Center there. It is a large facility that does these procedures frequently. It is about an hour and a half drive there.
