Back to the OP thread
about decorating a CYV. Although I agree this post would apply to whatever model of home you chose. We live in a CYV, and as we are getting to know our neighbors and seeing inside other CYVs, not just models, it is interesting to see how differently we all do it. There is no one correct way, as others have posted. Especially since villas are so cookie cutter looking from the outside, it is nice to see how unique they all are inside and in the backyard as time passes.
I see some I just love, but would not work for us, and vice versa. And some of us brought unique pieces from up north or wherever we moved from that we are working with, or using as focal points, whatever.
I personally like the process - others just want to get it done and never have to think about it again (that would be Ohioboy). Fortunately, although he has veto power (sort of), I am the main decorator. Mostly because he doesn't care, but that works out well in our situation - I mostly get to do whatever I want. He just doesn't always see the "need" for whatever it is I want to do next. Of course there's not a "need," but we all have our "wants."
