Glad you're enjoying that new iPad. It is a great device with which to travel.
Actually, part of the reason you get great battery life, is because Steve Jobs refused to allow Flash to run in iOS. Reason: Flash is a resource hog and not a well behaved application, especially the mobile version. Since the release of the iPad and Apple's refusal to use mobile Flash, Adobe has abandoned any new development on mobile Flash. Eventually, Flash will go away completely; most likely replaced with HTML5 (sorry, too technical)
As for your ONDEMAND5.COM site, that's a different story. You should ask the developers of that site, why it will not function in any other browser than IE. It will take their customers to complain that they are not able to use the site on their iPads for them to consider changing the code to a more universally accepted format...ie open coded. Truthfully, I suspect it is a very simple issue to make it compatible...
Maybe they don't even know it won't function properly ????
