I believe the nearest one is 30 minutes away. I belong to Planet Fitness in CT,
I pay $10 per month that is more reasonable than the rec center fee of $350/$400 per year. I probably would burn the difference in fee's in gas getting back and forth to the nearest Planet Fitness several times a week. Having shower facilities are preferred as I don't like to thought of working out and waiting to get home. Some people want to shower in their own home. To each his/her own.

The club owner I belong to, before PF, claimed his biggest expense was the water for the pool, whirlpool, steam, sauna bath and the repairs needed. It's not a deal breaker for me but it would be nice if a mojor chain came to TV at a resonable price so we all have another option of staying healthier.
