I signed up with ASI through AAA last January and am happy to hear you had a good experience.

The person I contacted at AAA, who was great to work with, as well as very responsive when contacted is:

Bonnie Colangelo
Licensed Insurance Agent
AAA Insurance
955 Bichara Blvd
The Villages, FL 32159
Ph. 352-753-2500 ext. 2264
Fax 877-749-5167

And to the OP, you can skip considering Allstate because the insured home needs to be your primary residence before they will consider you for insurance.

Also, when we made our home here in TV our primary residence, we tried to switch to Allstate since we have been Allstate customers since the late 60's. We were shocked when we were rejected and especially for the reason. They said we had three claims within the last few years.

The first of them was a mistake and they admitted it was. The second one was the results of our just checking to see if we had flood insurance. They wouldn't do anything about that error. The third case was where a Lowes delivery truck backed into a tree on our NY property. I contacted them so they had a record of the incident but was expecting Lowes insurance co to make good on the replacement of the tree. The Allstate agent decided to process the information as a claim, pay us all but the deductable then go after Lowes for the full damages. It made no difference to Allstate that the claim processed was not our choice.

To add insult to injury Lowes never made good on the damages they inflicted on our property, their Insurance Co. claiming that the PD told them the tree was not our property, which was not true. It was within governments right of way but it was clearly our property and our family purchased the tree and maintained it for more than 50 years.

Today we have Allstate Insurance for our Automobiles. We wouldn't have gotten it from them because of what they did to us on homeowners insurance, except for the fact that the rates were the lowest we were offered down here, even lower than we paid in NYS.

The insurance companies can really put the handiman tools to you when they want!
